At Matukituki Natives we are passionate about restoring the biodiversity of our region. We have been established now for over a decade and have successfully grown, planted and maintained over half a million native plants. We pride ourselves as being specialists in native planting projects and their ongoing management.
We have a dedicated team of people who are skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of successfully establishing and maintaining native plants. We offer services from simply supplying and planting smaller projects through to the planning and, implementation and maintenance of large revegetation projects.
Planting
We love planting! A hundred plants or thousands we don’t mind and are happy to do this for you.

This is how we first started and 15 years later and many plants in the ground we are still going. We can assist in part, or all of the planning required.
Reveg. project management
Planting can be a big investment so it’s important to get things right. Planting the right plants in the right locations, and ensuring plants have the best chance to survive are key to a project’s success. We can help in all aspects of managing and maintaining a project.
Invasive weed control
Invasive weeds are a continuing threat to our biodiversity and can quickly overwhelm young native plants if not kept in check. We are certified for chemical control of weeds and also the use of chainsaws for the big weeds.
Pest control
Native plants are very tasty to introduced mammals, as are our native birds to the carnivorous type. Control is highly recommended. We can supply covers, traps and also have contractors we use for shooting and hunting.
Irrigation systems
Watering of planting projects can be very beneficial where appropriate. We design and install irrigation for planting projects.
